REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility of Applicant:
  • 1. Future creation individual Individual at the age of 18 years or older who satisfies the following conditions and wish to participate in job hunting, entrepreneurial activity, or other remunerative activity for 2 years in Japan.
  • • (1) Individual must have been awarded a qualification by an eligible university (see the official list in our downloadable pack) and the qualification must be at the same level as a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD (or doctorate).
  • (2) Individual must have been awarded the qualification above in the last 5 years.
  • (3) Individual must prove enough personal savings?approximately 200,000 yen? to support herself/himself in Japan
  • Spouse or child of future creation individual Dependent spouse or child of future creation individual.
Passport
  • Needs to be valid for at least 6 months from date of lodging.
  • Has to have at least 2 blank visa pages.

Photograph
  • One passport sized photo of photo booth quality.
Certificate of Eligibility, original or if its the Electronic Certificate of Eligibility, then supply a copy.
  • It should be no older than three months. If it is complete the COE extension form. You will find one in our downloadable pack.
The following documents are only needed if you do not have the COE:
  • Documents to prove the awarded qualification
  • Documents to prove that the applicant has enough personal savings
  • Description of intended activities (the form is available in our downloadable pack).
  • Curriculum Vitae (the template is available in our downloadable pack).
Documents for Spouse of Child of future creation individual:
  • Proof of UK Residency
  • Visa form
  • Photo
  • Certificate of Eligibility, original or if its the Electronic Certificate of Eligibility, then supply a copy.
  • If you do not have the COE then supply the following:
  • Document to prove kinship (Marriage certificate or Full Birth Certificate.
  • A copy of residence card or passport of future creation individual.

Important notes:
  • Sometimes additional information maybe requested by the Embassy.
  • If you have a non-machine readable passport then it is advisable to get a visa prior to travelling.
  • Staples are not allowed on the forms/photos/documents.
  • Currently an appointment needs to be booked to lodge visa applications. This will add to the time it takes for a visa to be obtained as displayed on our website.
  • Please be aware that there could be a delay in applying for your visa due to the fact an appointment needs to be booked prior to lodging. As an agent Regent Visas is allowed to book appointments.
  • An appointment must be booked to collect a visa. Regent Visas will book the collection appointment.
  • Period of stay: 1year, 6 months, or a term individually designated by the Minister of Justice (up to 1year). (However, maximum of 2 years will be granted if eligible individuals apply for an extension of period of stay to the Regional Immigration Service Bureau before the expiration of the permitted period of stay.)
