- The passport must have at least 6 months validity remaining beyond the expiry date of the invite. The expiry date is in effect the exit date from Russia.
- Has to have at least two blank visa pages. Officially opposite each other, or back to back.

- If either or both questions 27 and 28 are answered Did not work or Did not study, then include a letter signed by the applicant stating these acts.
- You must answer the questions on the visa form regarding previous employment and further education truthfully.

- One recent passport size photograph. This must be an original of photo booth quality, taken on an off white background. This must be glued to the visa form.

- State the purpose of the trip to Russia.
- State the employer is financially responsible for the applicant.
- An EU member, other than French, instead of showing bank statements, can include in the letter the date employment started, and confirm the applicants full residential address.
- If covered by Company Medical insurance then state the name of the insurer and policy number in an employers letter.
- Include the inviters address.
- State the applicant is visiting the company which is on the Invite only.
- State the purpose of the trip to Russia is either Business/Commercial/Humanitarian (please check your invite).
- Passport Number and Nationality
- State the applicants full name.
- Address letter to the Embassy.
- If applying for a multiple entry visa then employers letters must be original. If applying for single or double entry then a photocopy is acceptable (except for French Nationals).
- All letters must be signed by a superior in the company
- Include the following points:

- If using personal insurance then this must have the applicants name on it. If covered by Company Medical insurance then state the name of the insurer and policy number on a letter from the UK employer. This is to tie it in with the copy of the policy when the applicants name does not appear. If the company insurance is in the form of a credit card sized document. then a letter is also needed from the insurers stating that they have insured your company.

- Has to state the purpose, entry and exit date to Russia.
- If applying for a Multiple entry visa on a paper invite then supply the original.
- If applying on a Telex of invitation then the Embassy will use your passport number to locate the invite on the system.

- Applicants need to take exact details from your invitation to answer the visa form.
- Applicants can only stay for 90 days in a 6 month period in Russia.
- Business and Commercial visas cover business meetings, are only distinguishable by what is written on the Ministry invite. The visa form must state which one is being applied for.
- Humanitarian visas cover trips for cultural, science, sports and religious purposes etc.
- Kindly note the visa form is available for only a limited time on the Embassy site. It remains on their site for approximately 2 weeks and then falls off. Therefore applications should be made to the Visa Centre as soon as possible.
