REQUIREMENTS
Passport
  • Has to have at least two blank visa pages. Officially opposite each other, or back to back.
  • The passport must have at least 6 months validity remaining beyond the expiry date of the invite. The expiry date is in effect the exit date from Russia.
Visa Application Form
  • You must answer the questions on the visa form regarding previous employment and further education truthfully.
  • If only applying for tourism, then you can answer either or both questions 27 and 28 as Did not work or Did not study.

Photograph
  • One recent passport size photograph. This must be an original of photo booth quality, taken on an off white background. It must be glued to the visa form.
Proof of UK residence:
  • If visa is a card then supply only a photocopy of both sides of it. Do not supply the original.
  • If UK residence visa is in old passport then supply a photo copy of the photo page from that passport and a copy of the visa.
  • This can be the UK visa in the current passport.
  • If using personal insurance then this must have the applicants name on it. If covered by Company Medical insurance then state the name of the insurer and policy number on a letter from the UK employer. This is to tie it in with the copy of the policy when the applicants name does not appear. If the company insurance is in the form of a credit card sized document. then a letter is also needed from the insurers stating that they have insured your company.
Tourist support documents:
  • These comprise of 2 pages called the Tourist voucher and confirmation issued by the hotel you are staying at. The dates of entry and exit from Russia appear on these documents, along with your name and passport details.

Important notes:
  • All Tourist visas can only be valid for a maximum of 30 days stay. The visa is issued according to the entry and exit dates as issued on the tourist support documents from the hotel. Therefore the full 30 days may not be granted.
  • Exact information must be taken from the tourist support documents to be able to complete the visa form.
