REQUIREMENTS
Passport
  • The passport must have at least 6 months validity remaining beyond the expiry date of the invite. The expiry date is in effect the exit date from Russia.
  • Has to have at least two blank visa pages. Officially opposite each other, or back to back.
Visa Application Form
  • You will find also find a link to the application form in our document pack.
  • If only applying for transit, then you can answer either or both questions 27 and 28 as Did not work or Did not study.
  • You must answer the questions on the visa form regarding previous employment and further education truthfully.

Photograph
  • One recent passport size photograph. This must be an original of photo booth quality, taken on an off white background. It must be glued to the visa form.
UK Employers Letter for EU members (other than British):
  • Confirm the full address where the applicant lives.
  • If covered by Company Medical insurance then state the name of the insurer and policy number.
  • Date the applicant started working for the employer.
  • State the applicants full name.
  • Address letter to the Embassy.
  • A letter is compulsory for French nationals, but not for other EU members who can supply an employers letter instead of their bank statements as proof of residency.
  • Include the following points:
Members of the following countries must supply a Copy of valid World wide travel Insurance covering the whole period in Russia.
  • If using personal insurance then this must have the applicants name on it. If covered by Company Medical insurance then state the name of the insurer and policy number on a letter from the UK employer. This is to tie it in with the copy of the policy when the applicants name does not appear. If the company insurance is in the form of a credit card sized document. then a letter is also needed from the insurers stating that they have insured your company.
  • Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain
  • Israel
A photocopy of your confirmed ticket to and from Russian if you are travelling by air/train/coach/car (car documents, driver driving licence, insurance).
  • If travelling by car include a covering letter explaining the purpose as well as the routes of journey together with copy of the registration certificate, stating the details of the owner and the vehicle. the Transit visa would be issued based on the fastest journey to the destination. The average daily distance to be covered by car should not be less than 500km.
A valid visa (if required by that country) to the country you want to enter after leaving Russia.

Travellers to Russia must present a PCR COVID test when boarding the plane. It must be no older than 3 days before arrival to Russia. Regent Visas can organise the appointment for the test at the Russian Visa Centre. Kindly add the appropriate product to your order.
Important notes:
  • All Transit visas can only be valid for a maximum of 30 days stay. The visa is issued according to the entry and exit dates as issued on the tourist support documents from the hotel. Therefore the full 30 days may not be granted.
  • Exact information must be taken from the tourist support documents to be able to complete the visa form.
  • Kindly note the visa form is available for only a limited time on the Embassy site. It remains on their site for approximately 2 weeks and then falls off. Therefore applications should be made to the Visa Centre as soon as possible.
